Markie Hagemean Jones is a wife, an animal lover, an appraiser and a mom.
Like most moms, her plate is full as she juggles work, hobbies, and raising a family. She is also a first generation cattle rancher in Hilmar, Calif.
Early on, Markie had dreams of working in fashion. When those aspirations fizzled out— after coming to the realization she liked animals more than the glam life—she started working on a new dream.
She’s now living out that dream of being a first-generation cattle rancher alongside her husband, Austin. Their herd is made up of Hereford cattle, among lots of other critters (see below).
You can follow along with Markie’s story by checking out her Instagram account “Girls Eat Beef Too” where she shares about her journey as a first generation cattle rancher and about her experiences in the ranching community.

In addition to the cattle, Markie has no shortage of friends she has adopted over the years and continues to adore. Below, meet her dogs, friendly cat and the newest additions to the ranch—sheep!
